The Position
Roche Diagnostics Corporation seeks a Lead Digital Solutions Engineer at its Indianapolis, IN location.
Duties: Provide complex technical support to customers in commercial presales, project management, staging, and installation stages of the product implementation lifecycle. Conduct verification for installs, reconfigurations, upgrades and overall evaluations of hardware implementation for assigned solution including verifying IT connectivity and performing systems-troubleshooting. Participate in the requirements-review phase for new product development initiatives. Liaise with the global product lifecycle teams to ensure product readiness for the RDC organization, including review of installation documentation, internal and external product testing, and internal procedure and documentation updates. Develop technical documents, manuals and materials for product integration, implementation, and installation for supported IT products. As the technical expert, provide technical assistance in high-value and complex customer pre sales calls to ensure that optimal product selections are offered that meet customer needs. Serve as the lead internal resource in developing and improving training plans to for junior technical staff. Position requires up to 50% domestic travel (fully-reimbursed). Position allows telecommuting up to 5 days per week from anywhere in the US.
Education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Medical Technology, or closely related field, plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as a Laboratory IT Workflow & Migration Specialist, GCS S&T Senior Specialist, Systems Engineer, LIS Analyst, Medical Technologist, or closely related position.
Special Requirements: Employer requires 4 years of experience with each of the following:
- Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, Oracle, Apache, JBoss, Drupal, PHP, Networking, Security, InterSystems IRIS and InterSystems Cache
- Healthcare domain integration standards including the following: ASTM, HL7, IHE, DICOM, HIPAA, and ADT.
- File parsing using XML, XSLT, CSV
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and laboratory Information Technology (LIT)
- Lab instrumentation and testing
Up to 50%, domestic travel, fully reimbursed, position allows telecommuting up to 5 days per week from anywhere in the US.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Indianapolis IN is $143,304 to $211,400. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
