EHS ManagernnOur client is well established and is looking for an experienced EHS Manager. Our client is looking for an energetic, boots on the ground EHS leader. In this role you will lead and manage all EHS programs while implementing and enhancing the programs and culture within the manufacturing facility. Our client is seeking a candidate with experience in the chemical, coating or heavy industrial manufacturing with process safety management experience. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a great team, this is the role for you.nnThe EHS Manager will report to the Site Manager and will manage site safety processes and assist with site environmental processes, as needed. The goal of the EHS Manager role will be ensure safety and environmental compliance with all regulations and to drive a zero-accident environment at this site. The EHS Manager will also work with the EHS personnel at other sites on companywide initiatives.nnBelow is a list of the major processes the EHS Manager will be responsible for. The list is not all inclusive, and responsibilities can change over time as situations change and experience and knowledge are gained.nnThe knowledge and understanding of the site safety policies and the ability interpret and understand regulatory policies.nnPlant EHS Manager assures the safety of plant personnel through compliance to occupational environmental, safety, and health regulation and maintains the attitude that all accidents are preventable.nnMAJOR PROCESSESnnEHS ManagementnnMaintains compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM), conducts Loss Control and Prevention plant inspections, reports deficiencies to the Site Manager, and follows up through corrective actions.nEnforce Authorized Safe Practices Manual (ASPM) and all site policies, programs., and procedures.nLead site efforts in PSM audits, PHAs (Process Hazard Analyses), and regulatory inspections and maintain recommendations and corrective actions.nResponsible for all health, safety, and environmental training of the plant employees as required by Federal, State, and local regulations, and by Corporate EHS training policies.nManage incident investigations and related corrective actions for all near misses and incidents.nResponsible for updates of all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) as required by PSM.nOversee development and implementation of Site Security Program.nMaintain site Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP). Review and update annually.nLead the site ERT team – coordinate drills and annual training.nMeet regularly with LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee) and interface with local emergency response departments to ensure confident and rapid response in the event of an emergency.nDevelop and maintain EHS budget. Develop and manage site EHS capital projects.nDevelop and coordinate quarterly Safety and Security drills.nManage site waste by ensuring satellite accumulation areas and the 90-day area are maintained properly, preparing waste manifests for material to be shipped, ensuring that waste is shipped prior to 90-day deadline, and ensuring that manifest originals are returned before the 45-day deadline. Manage efforts to minimize waste generation.nManage regular fire system inspections and testing, manage outfall and stormwater testing, and conduct quarterly outfall and security observations.nnISO ManagementnnResponsible for the initial training of new hires following ISO policy.nResponsible for maintaining ISO Certification and following the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.nResponsible for Document and Data Control following requirements of ISO 9001:2015.nnSafetynnLead the site ERT TeamnLead the site Safety Committee, including the scheduling of meetings, determining team membership, coordinating team projects, and leading the meetings.nCoordinate and implement site safety projects.nLead, coordinate, and participate in safety performance improvement initiatives.nParticipate in and lead site efforts in process safety audits (PHA’s, PSM audits, and EHS audits) and maintain the resulting report results and action items.nParticipate and/or lead incident investigations of all EHS related Near Misses / Incidents and participate in management review of all serious incidents.nConduct New Hire Orientation when new employees are introduced to the facility.nWrite, update, and implement site safety procedures and policies.nOversee LEL meter program and ensure calibrations and coordinate service as needed.nTrack the site radios and coordinate service, as needed, and maintain the overall radio program.nAssist with development of Operations and Shutdown work plans.nInteract as necessary to provide data, answer questions, provide tours, etc. with applicable regulatory agencies and the Fire Department.nCoordinate site safety drills and ensure one a quarter.nCoordinate, develop, and implement site safety and environmental classroom training.nIssue Training Memorandums to Site personnel when necessary.nAudit the site safety permit program.nUpdate safety measure and regulatory reporting.nMaintain and update the safety board.nConduct Contractor Safety Orientation.nAct as Safety Representative for Permit sign off, as required by GOP.nEnsure Monthly Fence Line Inspection (Security).nOversee the site Industrial Hygiene programs.nWork as necessary with the LEPC (Local Emergency Planning Committee).nAssist with monthly critical safety inspections.nCompletes Safety Orientation and OSHA Standards Training.nComplies with departmental and job safety practices, including wearing protective equipment.nn**If you’d like to hear more about this opportunity and others we are currently working on, please contact Jennifer Wojcik at : 19.25JWn#LI-JH3nnSalarynn$110,000 - $120,000nnBenefitsnnMedical, Dental, Vision and 401k
