Selectek is seeking a Civil Engineer for our partnering company in Tucker, Georgia. Candidates in this role will be performing modifications, repairs or replacements of high voltage overhead transmission lines .nEmployment Type: Contract (12 months+ expected)nLocation: Tucker, GAnExpected Pay Range: $ 35.00-$40.00 per hour, based on certifications and experiencenSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a-5:00p. Hybrid work schedule of three in-office days and two days working from home will be available after orientation period.nJob Requirements:nnBachelor's in Engineering, preferably CivilnMinimum 1-5 years' experiencenElectrical utility industry is preferrednAutoCAD experiencenPLS-CADD is a plusnnIn addition to these requirements, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as Selectek is unable to provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.nJob Duties:nnPerform physical and structural design activities related to the maintenance, modification, and replacement of electrical power transmission lines under the guidance of a senior engineer.nCreates drawings, specifications, and bill of materials to be used for field maintenance activities.nEvaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria required for making adaptations and modifications under the supervision of senior engineer.nAssists with engineering special projects requiring application of standardized designs and specifications.nParticipates in transmission maintenance activities that require field investigation for the purpose of siting, constructability, and inspection.nReviews drawings and other documents in support of encroachment investigations as needed.nPerforms transmission line operations and maintenance functions as needed including maintenance support for capital projects, review of bill of materials, process improvement, or other position related duties and responsibilities that Management and/or Executive Staff may deem necessary.nnFor more information on this position or other openings around the southeast, call Joey Fairbanks with Selectek at 470.203.9530.
