Herzog Contracting Corp. is currently seeking a self-motivated Oiler/Lube Technician in Austin, TX to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
*This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position.
- Preventative maintenance on current equipment.
- Minor repairs.
- Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position.
- Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog's Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1-year minimum mechanical experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to provide minimal basic tools
- Company provides required Personal Protective Equipment including a Safety Boots Allowance Program.
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and endorsements as required per position.
- Pass pre-employment DOT physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen due to the safety sensitive nature of this position.
- This position requires you to pass and maintain a DOT medical evaluation to drive a Herzog commercial vehicle.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.

- Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to walk up and down the length property, a total of 600 yards.
- Must be able to ascend an 8 ft step ladder.
- Must be able to ascend 24 stairs while carrying up to 30 pounds of equipment in hands.
- Be able to crouch entire body below a 36-inch space.
- Must be able to access a space with a width of 24 inches.
- Grasp or squeeze various equipment and tools requiring forces up to 40 pounds up to 20 times an hour.
- Must be able to lift a 50 pound bag full of equipment overhead.
- Must be able to hold up to 40 pounds of equipment overhead for 30 seconds.
- Required to assume a bent over posture and hold for 60 seconds 20 times per hour.
- Be able to squat down and stay in that position for 2 minutes.
- Lift parts weighing up to 100 pounds from ground to chest height and horizontally transfer it 4 feet.
- Must be able to push hydraulic hoses into couplers, using upper body only, requiring 50 pounds of force, up to 10 times an hour.
- Must successfully pass color/vision examinations as required by the position.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals as required by the position.
