Role: EMC Validation Engineer
Location: Austin, TX or Cupertino, CA (Work from office/lab 5 days a week)

Job description:
We are looking for someone who can review mechanical CAD, electrical layouts and schematics, and EMC data. Additionally, generate test plans and data reports, support root cause analysis, brainstorm mitigations, and oversee testing in collaboration with test engineers.
Skills:
• Reviewing mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance.
• Reviewing printed circuit board (PCB) schematics and layouts for emissions and immunity control.
• Preparing EMC test plans, overseeing EMC validation, and compiling reports on consumer electronics, medical equipment, or automotive systems.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical sources of EMC failures and identifying solutions.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as ESD guns, surge testers, receivers, oscilloscopes, SAs, VNAs, cables, amplifiers, LISNs, and CDNs.
• Experience reworking electrical components as small as 01005 is preferred.
• Experience with electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, and PowerSI is preferred.
• Experience with Matlab and scripting for test automation and data analysis is preferred.
