Summary
We are currently representing a growing mid-size commercial builder with a strong reputation for mentorship and a collaborative team environment. With a consistent backlog of awarded projects in the Beaverton, OR, area, they are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support project management efforts across a variety of commercial construction projects. This role offers exposure to all phases of project delivery, from preconstruction through closeout, making it an excellent opportunity for long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and manage bid packages, contracts, purchase orders, submittals, and RFIs
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation and distribute to all relevant stakeholders
  • Assist in procurement efforts and ensure timely material deliveries to job sites
  • Support schedule development and coordination with field teams and the Superintendent
  • Communicate updates with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to align expectations
  • Track and organize documentation including RFIs, ASIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders
  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to the Project Manager
  • Support project closeout activities including as-builts, warranties, O&M manuals, and final documents
  • Assist in cost tracking, change order processing, and budget reporting
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial construction or a related industry
  • Proficiency with Procore, Sage 300 (Timberline), Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with architects, engineers, and clients
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive project information
