Principal Engineer/Sr. Principal Engineer - Water/Wastewater

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a civil, mechanical, or environmental engineer experienced in the design and management of water and wastewater conveyance and treatment systems. The Candidate is expected to work on conveyance and treatment projects, both locally and regionally.
The desired candidate will have between 6-10 years of experience in the evaluation, planning, and design of water- and wastewater-related projects including pumping, piping, and treatment facilities. Experience should encompass hydraulic evaluations, conceptual/feasibility studies, preparation of design reports, development of construction drawings and specifications, bidding assistance, and support of office and field-related construction services. Candidate shall be capable of supervising junior staff and managing projects. Candidate shall also be capable of supporting business development activities including the preparation of proposals and presentations. Candidate should possess excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be capable of effective interaction with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
Skills and Qualifications

• 6-10 years of water and wastewater conveyance and/or treatment design experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or environmental engineering is required.
• Experience in project management for smaller projects is preferred.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.
• PE License is required.
