Our client is a nationwide provider of cold-formed steel framing and fabrication solutions, utilizing advanced technology to streamline construction timelines, reduce costs, and support projects.
They are searching for Structural Engineers (from intern to PE level) to join their team ASAP!
Salary:

  • Intern: $18-22/hour
  • Structural Engineer: $55-75k base salary
  • Structural Engineer with PE: $90-120k base salary

Job Summary:
The Structural Engineer will support a diverse range of structural design projects-from residential to large-scale commercial builds. While the majority of work involves cold-formed steel, there are also opportunities to design with wood, concrete, masonry, and structural steel. The EIT will gain hands-on experience working with advanced digital design and framing systems to support licensed engineers. This role focuses on collaborative problem-solving, ensuring code compliance, and contributing to continuous improvements in engineering practices and productivity.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for various construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to support successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to engineering team efforts by supporting documentation, drafting, and calculations.
  • Help review plans and technical documents for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Participate in the training and mentoring of technicians and junior staff.
  • Monitor project timelines and assist in keeping deliverables on schedule and within scope.
  • Identify potential design risks or construction challenges and assist in developing solutions.
  • Support production teams by researching and refining manufacturing and design methods.
  • Conduct design evaluations, applying knowledge of materials, fabrication, and tooling methods.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and innovation throughout the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Enrolled in or recent graduate of a Structural Engineering (or similar) degree program.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with CAD software is helpful, but not required.
  • Knowledge of cold-formed steel, concrete, structural steel, wood, or masonry is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
