Selectek has an immediate need for an experienced Lead  Mechanical Engineer  with a strong petrochemical background. This role specifically will support RNG technology and renewables. This engineer will act as a lead on projects and provide direction and assistance to more junior mechanical engineers and piing designers.nMECHANICAL ENGINEER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnPerform as Lead Mechanical Engineer on projects including mechanical engineering scope both in the production and support systems areas.nLead the development of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) for facility mechanical systems.nDrive the development of drawing packages by providing direction and assistance to designers; Issue for Review (IFR), Issue for Design (IFD), Issued for Bid (IFB), and Issued for Construction (IFC).nIndependently design process piping systems including routing, sizing, materials selection, and pipe supports.nLead/Oversee Technical portions of Project Meetings internally and with customers.nLead efforts on initial site visits for evaluation of mechanical systems.nAssign tasks and delegate authority to less experienced Mechanical Engineers.nPerform complex calculations required to ensure safe, correct and economical designs.nEvaluate and/or specify mechanical process systems including piping, ductwork and support equipment.nEvaluate general arrangements of process equipment and their utility requirements.nCoordinate vendor provided conveyor systems with process equipment.nUtilize AutoCAD for system designs and development of drawing packages.nReview lower-level engineer’s drawing details for accuracy, standardization, and completeness.nCoordinate material take-offs for purchase of all materials required for fabrication and installation of client provided pre-fabricated and unitized systems.nPrepare Request for Quotations and solicit bids for equipment, systems, and unitized components.nProvide assistance with development of estimates, proposals, and other deliverables required for Phase 1 packages.nCoordinate with the project Electrical Engineers to facilitate design of power distribution systems, power panels and control panels.nCoordinate with client fabrication facilities on all fabricated, pre-assembled, and unitized system designs.nTravel domestically and internationally ranging from 10-30% per year; to assist in the installation and startup of process systems.nPromote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization's goals.nDevelop and maintain relationships with employees at all locations.nConduct activities in a safe and healthy manner, and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.nnRequired:nnBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineeringn10+ years of experience in petrochemical jobsnEITnExperience reviewing drawings for fabrication of piping systems.nExperience with selection and specification of pumps, support equipment and/or HVAC equipment is required.nKnowledge of typical piping and piping component materials and appropriate applications is required.nStrong communication and leadership skillsnnPreferred:nnPE (Highly Preferred)nAutoCAD experiencennSponsorship: No, needs to be U.S. Citizen or Green Card HoldernPay range: $100,000 - $140,000 (if looking for more than this, must have PE license)nPay method when direct: Salary, No OT PaynLocation of job: St Louis, MO 63126nHours and shift: Monday - Friday 9AM – 3PM are their core hours, everyone has to be there at least during those hours; Can start as early as 7AM or as late as 9AMnWork from home/remote: NonOvertime expected: occasionally when busy; Up to 5 hours usuallynTravel: Domestic and international travel as needed.
