- The Process Engineer provides support and enhancements to existing and new operations systems to ensure projects are aligned with the corporate strategy. He/She gathers business requirements, initiates feasibility studies, and maintains data for the project's life cycle. The Process Engineer serves as a liaison between stakeholders, clients, software engineers, and software users. The success of this role depends on strong communication, technical understanding, warehouse operations best practices, and the ability to understand multiple pieces of the business.
The Systems Process Engineer supports a system build process by assisting in testing of user requirements as well as evaluating the usability and efficiency of the system. This position will complete testing of user requirements and scenarios in the system. Process Engineers will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the system and of warehouse processes. Process Engineers will work with the IT build team to communicate system gaps as well as suggested improvements. As they are testing, the Process Engineer will document their findings and progress as well as provide communications on the status of testing. Process Engineers may need to complete demos or trainings for others on the system.
- The Process Engineer will support the softeon system for varying project sizes as well as current business needs in steady state.
- There will be a need to work on automation projects as well.
- Covers WMS and OMS software solutions primarily as well as outlier software's that directly link to the UPS internal and external system.
- Strong skillset in communication, project management, time management, self-management, business analysis, WMS, OMS, complex problem solving, engineering, operations, quality systems, transportation systems, and automation are needed for this role.
- System Configuration for day-to-day operational processes.
- User Training by training sessions and reviewing documentation with teams for complete understanding of the system.
- Understanding system integration with SAP, internal systems, and client systems is a plus.
- Travel is required and fluctuates based on client needs.
- Supporting operations daily with issues and enhancements required to make the operational flow improve.
- Working with automation teams to fully understand the integration and processes associated with WMS.

- WMS (Warehouse Management System) Expertise: The candidate must have extensive knowledge of WMS, including system configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting, to ensure efficient warehouse operations and alignment with business requirements.
- OMS (Order Management System) Knowledge: A solid understanding of OMS is essential for managing and optimizing the order fulfillment process, ensuring that the system supports seamless inventory management and order processing.
- Process Optimization: The candidate must be skilled in analyzing and improving warehouse and order management processes using WMS and OMS, identifying areas for efficiency gains and ensuring best practices are implemented throughout the operations.
- Testing : Experience with different testing methodologies (e.g., functional testing, regression testing, UAT) and tools to validate systems against user requirements.
