ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

nPosition Summary:
nAn Electrical Design Engineer at Rotary Systems will never face a boring day. You will be part of an integral team designing custom rotary unions and slip rings for unique applications and state-of-the-art prototypes. The products you create are critical subcomponents within industries such as: Space, Aerospace, Automation, Robotics, Defense, Energy and more. Your work at Rotary Systems will be comfortable, yet challenging. We are open to candidates early in their career path; ideal candidates will have strong experience with both electrical and mechanical design.
nResponsibilities:

Implement improvements to existing Rotary Union and Slip Ring product lines

Research and design expanded Slip Ring product offerings (4k video, Ethernet, fiber optic)
n n - n
Create models, drawings and work instructions proficiently using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
n n - n
Determine and document manufacturing methods and process flow for manufactured items
n n - n
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s)
n n - n
Create detail break downs for assemblies to ensure all parts interact with the correct tolerances
n n - n
Support machining with any concerns regarding tolerances, quality etc.
n n - n
Support sales and customers by providing them with engineering specifications
n n - n
Research and development of new materials and industry advancements
n n - n
Review, verify and manage the implementation of customer requirements through the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) process
n n - n
Work as a team member to approve product designs and documentation and participate in risk analysis and mitigation
n n - n
Establish and verify testing the quality requirements
n n - n
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the company

Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 2+ years of related experience
n n - n
Understanding of ISO standards desired
n n - n
Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and signal analyzers desired
n n - n
Understanding of GD&T
n n - n
Experience with 3D CAD required (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
n n - n
Experience with the design and manufacture of mechanical assemblies and/or other electronic components
n n
