Our dynamic and evolutionary client is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on testing advanced mechanical systems in a research and development environment. This role involves the end-to-end execution of test activities-from reviewing requirements and designing test plans to executing tests and reporting results.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical testing, data analysis, and technical documentation, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional engineering team.
Location: Hybrid (Bellevue, WA preferred)

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the drafting and review of test requirements.
- Develop and author test design documents, procedures, and detailed test reports.
- Assist in the setup, execution, and commissioning of experimental equipment under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Analyze test data and contribute to the generation of high-quality technical reports.
- Ensure testing activities are performed safely, accurately, and within project timelines.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to align testing processes with industry best practices and evolving engineering standards.
- Work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure that testing objectives are clearly defined and achieved.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a testing or research and development environment.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory settings and working with experimental setups.
- Proficiency in data post-processing, test documentation, and report writing.
- Familiarity with various types of mechanical testing (e.g., R&D, Acceptance, Validation, Qualification).
- Preferred experience in vibration, strain, or optical testing.
- Exposure to large, complex mechanical systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities-capable of handling multiple test projects concurrently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safety-conscious with a detail-oriented mindset.
