TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a Naval Architect to support NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office Engineering Support Services requirements. This position is contingent upon the award of the PMS 406 contract.
nResponsibilitiesn
- n
- Provide analysis on ship hulls and superstructures. n
- Study design products and specifications to establish basic characteristics of a ship, such as size, weight, and speed. n
- Lead teams from a variety of specialties to oversee building and testing prototypes. n
- Evaluate how ships perform during trials, both at dock and at sea, and change designs as needed to make sure and international standards are met. n
Qualificationsn
- n
- At least 4 years of relevant experience. n
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. n
- experience with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process), and surface combatant ships. n
- Professional Engineer License is a plus. n
- Must be a United States . n
- Must possess an active DOD Secret security clearance. n
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. n
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. n
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings. n
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions. n
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions. n
