Are you an experienced, detail-oriented mortgage loan processor who can successfully aid applicants in navigating the mortgage lending process? If so, we are looking for you! We are currently seeking a skilled and high-producing mortgage processor to work with the mortgage loan officers on our team. Responsibilities: • Obtain property documentation to process mortgage loan files, including appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records • Interview prospective loan applicants and assist them in finding the best loan products for their needs • Maintain detailed documentation of the process in our system - from origination to close • Liaise between the mortgage lending underwriting department, mortgage loan originators, real estate agents, and applicants to facilitate loan approval • Decide the creditworthiness and complete the mortgage loan application by working with the borrower to obtain necessary and verified financial documentation, such as credit reports • Order the following documentation as necessary: Verification of Employment, Evidence of Insurance, Payoffs, Tax Transcripts, Credit Supplements, condo questionnaires, subordination requests, and Title Work as needed for each file • Manages a pipeline of loans and maintains a timely and compliant flow of such loans through the process • Communicate with Underwriters to clarify conditions - Help administer all documents that are needed to satisfy underwriting requirements • Follow up on documents ordered in a timely manner • Maintain the loan origination system and database with the proper loan information • Perform other related duties as assigned and required • Monitors and ensures closing dates and company deadlines are met • Handles all borrower communication from the point of contract to the closing of the loan • Handles all Loan Officer, Loan Partner, and Underwriter communication with updates • Be a sponge for information/knowledge, always striving to be the best possible in your position • Be a leader, helping us improve our processes and procedures to always deliver a world-class experience to clients and referral partners Qualifications: • Accounting, finance, or business Associate’s degree preferred - High school diploma or GED required • At least 2 years of loan processing experience required • FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loan product knowledge and mortgage lending experience required • Strong analytical and time management skills and superior attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement • Must have current working knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA / VA / CONV / USDA) and knowledge of mortgage procedures, processes, and documentation • Spanish Speaking Preferred • Know how to analyze credit reports, income, and asset documents, as well as general ways to structure a loan • Exceptional attention to detail must be organized and have excellent time management skills • Minimum 3 years of mortgage processing experience for the right candidate, 5+ yrs Preferred • Current or previous experience fulfilling the roles of Processor, LOA, Loan Partner, Loan Officer, and/or Underwriter • Strong ability to prioritize and multitask without being micromanaged to meet multiple deadlines and a keen sense of urgency • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills • Works well in a team environment Compensation: $40,000 - $100,000 yearly
