Top rated specialty medical group in Los Angeles, CA has an immediate opening for an experienced Bilingual Spanish, Medical Scribe/Clinical Assistant. (Perfect for a college student)
Schedule: Monday to Thursday 1pm to 5pm, with option to work 1/2 a day or a full day on Fridays, business hours 8:30am to 5:00pm.
Hourly Rate Range: $23-$25 p/hour DOE
Job Expectations:
The scribe reviews and prepares the electronic charts prior to the visits and follows the physicians in the exam rooms to document the visit. Medical terminology and an understanding of basic medicine is necessary. Pharmacy terminology is important as well. They enter imaging, follow up visit and lab orders as guided by the patient's encounter with the doctor. The scribe keeps track that all the encounters have been completed and signed to be sent to billing.
The Clinic assistant component is refilling medication requests from the pharmacy, entering medication prior authorization request information and starting documentation for specialty medications. They assist in answering phones and retrieving and sending medical records to referring doctors and insurance companies.
Position Requirements
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.

Position Requirements
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Typing skills: 50 wpm+
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience as a Medical Scribe
