Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with deep experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support a mission-focused government program. This role is key to ensuring the performance, availability, and security of cloud-based application infrastructure that supports a critical national mission.

You'll join a highly collaborative technical team delivering modern, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances , networking , and cloud services

  Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot application hosting environments

  n

• n

  Monitor systems to ensure performance, data integrity , and uptime

  n

• n

  Implement best practices for disaster recovery , backups , and system redundancy

  n
n
• n

  Collaborate across engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs

  n
n
• n

  Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and end users

  n
n
• n

  Stay current on the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and system administration

  n
n

Required Qualifications

n
• n

  11+ years of experience in systems engineering or systems administration

  n
n
• n

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology , or related field preferred

  n
n
• n

  Strong background in Linux-based systems and network engineering principles

  n
n
• n

  Deep understanding of network protocols , cloud security , and application hosting

  n
n
• n

  Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset

  n
n
• n

  Comfortable working both independently and in fast-paced team environments

  n
n
• n

  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  n
n

Preferred Skills & Certifications

• n

  Proficiency in scripting: Python , PowerShell , or Bash

  n

• n

  Experience with diverse cloud platforms: AWS , Azure , Google Cloud , Oracle Cloud

• n

  Familiarity with SecDevOps in cloud-hosted environments

  n

• n

  AWS Certifications (such as SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect ) strongly preferred

  Prior experience supporting mission-critical, enterprise-scale cloud systems
