Job Description
McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC) is seeking a Systems Engineer who will support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) is the United States Navy's full-spectrum research, development, test and evaluation, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems, and offensive and defensive weapons systems associated with undersea warfare. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, schedule driven environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering), or other related engineering disciplines
- Master's Degree in Systems Engineering or related field
- Integrated Product Support (IPS) Desired experience:
- Sustaining Engineering: expertise in design, reliability, maintainability, and supportability of systems.
- Maintenance Planning and Management : Knowledge of maintenance concepts, procedures, and resources.
- Supply Support: Understanding of provisioning, inventory management, and supply chain process.
- Support Equipment: Knowledge of specialized equipment needed for system operation and maintenance.
- Technical Data: Proficiency in managing and utilizing technical information for system support.
- Training, and Training Support: Ability to develop and deliver training programs for system users and maintainers.
- Package, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T): Expertise in safely handling and transporting system components.
- Facilities and Infrastructure: Knowledge of facilities needed for system support.
- Design Interface, Product Support Management: Ability to plan, manage, and integrate all IPS elements.
