MKEC is looking for a Transportation Roadway Engineer at our Wichita, Oklahoma City, Overland Park and Tulsa locations to assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county and municipal transportation projects.

Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • Prior experience in roadway design.
    • n
  • Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews and presentations to clients.
    • n
  • Proficient in roadway and or bridge design, drainage and traffic control.
    • n
  • Design and assist with the production of roadway projects
    • n
  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
    • n
  • Develop and maintain client relations.
    • n
  • Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
    • n
  • Attend client meetings to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
    • n
n

Requirements:

n
    n
  • ****B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
    • n
  • Experience ranging from recent or upcoming December 2022 or May 2023 graduate to six years of experience in transportation projects involving DOT, Turnpike, county and municipal work
    • n
  • Preferred knowledge of software such as AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation InRoads/OpenRoads/Geopak
    • n
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Excel
    • n
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required.
    • n
  • Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
    • n
  • Minimum EI accreditation with the expectation of obtaining a PE license in a timely manner
    • n
  • Knowledge of local standards and requirements is referred.
    • n
