They offer a range of capabilities including surface mount and through-hole PCB assembly, box build and system integration, and testing services. The company is known for working with complex, mission-critical electronics and provides support from prototype through full production.
Job Description
Some of the main responsibilities for the Mechanical Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and prioritizing the daily activities of the Mechanical Engineering team.
- Reviewing and approving critical engineering drawings in collaboration with team members.
- Participating in defining product requirements, specifications, and development schedules.
- Ensuring design, testing, implementation, and maintenance activities meet company quality standards and procedures.
- Conceptualizing, planning, and conducting feasibility studies for new product development.
- Developing test procedures and performing validation of new product designs.
- Creating working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstrations.
- Performing engineering calculations to support design decisions.
- Creating and reviewing technical drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specifications using CAD tools.
- Collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, vendors, and contractors.
- Evaluating and recommending updates to designs and specifications as needed.
- Overseeing projects to ensure alignment with design intent, timelines, and budget constraints.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Mechanical Engineer will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Bringing a minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and developing mechanical and/or electrical equipment for use in commercial, avionics, and military environments.
- Demonstrating proficiency with 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD LT, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
- Possessing hands-on knowledge of metals, plating techniques, and mechanical testing methods.
- Working familiarity with military standards and specifications.
- Experience working within AS9100 quality management systems.
- Demonstrating strong leadership and mentorship skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working with minimal documentation and capable of interpreting verbal instructions, schematics, sketches, and layouts.
