Job Summary:
As a Strategic Pricing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of innovative pricing strategies that align with the firm's financial goals and client expectations. Your responsibilities include designing alternative fee arrangements, conducting financial modeling to assess profitability and pricing scenarios, and delivering data-driven insights to support client proposals and negotiations. You will collaborate closely with attorneys and client teams to craft tailored pricing solutions, participate in client discussions, and serve as a strategic advisor on pricing best practices. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement by enhancing pricing processes, implementing technology solutions, and promoting pricing literacy across the firm through training and performance monitoring.
***Salary in the range of $110,000 - $145,000 dependent on location and experience level***

Essential Job Duties:
- Develop and Implement pricing models that align with firm financial goals and client expectations, including alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) such as fixed fees, success fees, and blended rates
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate profitability, cost structures, and pricing scenarios; assess the financial impact of pricing decisions on revenue and margins.
- Support client proposals and negotiations by providing data-driven insights to support pricing discussions. Collaborate with attorneys and client teams to develop tailored pricing proposals and participate in client meetings
- Advise on pricing best practices and serve as a strategic advisor to partners and stakeholders on pricing trends, client expectations, and value-based pricing approaches.
- Drive process improvement and innovation by identifying and implementing enhancements to pricing processes, tools, and systems. Introduce pricing technologies and dashboards to improve efficiency and transparency.
- Promote pricing education and knowledge sharing by developing and delivering training materials to improve pricing literacy among attorneys and business professionals; foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Monitor and report on pricing performance. Track key performance indicators such as realization, profitability, and client satisfaction; adjust pricing strategies based on performance data and feedback.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or strategic planning, preferably in a professional services or law firm environment.
- Proven experience developing and implementing pricing strategies and alternative fee arrangements.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel and/or other financial tools.
- Familiarity with pricing software, business intelligence tools, and CRM systems (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Intapp, Salesforce).
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex pricing concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, partners, and client-facing teams.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proactive approach to process improvement and innovation in pricing strategies and tools.
- Willingness to embrace change and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
