Job Purpose
The role of the Kamali'i Experience Associate is to manage the front desk reception area. The Kamali'i Experience Associate is the first point of contact for participants, visitors, and teammates, thus plays a vital role in communicating with others and demonstrating our organizational values. The position is also responsible for welcoming and assisting guests during check-in and check-out, managing inquiries, reservations, and communication channels, coordinating with program departments for guest services, ensuring a clean and organized front desk and reception area, addressing guest concerns, resolving issues, and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
Informed by a deep understanding of the adolescent experience and grounded in Hawaiian culture, the new LC will provide Hawaiian youth with opportunities to connect to peers and mentors, receive supportive services, and discover pathways to passion, purpose, and prosperity. LC will be LT's signature youth development hub for culture, creativity, technology, and play, and will serve as a resource center where youth can connect to vital supports and a vibrant community. LC will be a safe space located in urban Honolulu where youth are inspired to pursue their dreams, including exploring pathways in the arts, sports, technology, and entrepreneurship while receiving wraparound support to help them reach their goals and become thriving adults.A primary function of LC will be to provide a space for young people to play, to learn, to find connection and inspiration, and to experience joy.

Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing a warm and welcoming environment to kamali'i, participants, visitors, and teammates
- Welcome LC members and guests entering LC for the first time in a warm and professional manner; and for new guests provide a warm hand-off to the Engagement Team
- Assist kamali'i that are LC members, with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Provide guests with information about LC facilities, and partner with the Engagement Team in sharing about programs, activities, and special events.
- Handle guest inquires and requests, including scheduling and coordinating meetings and special arrangements.
- Partner with Life Readiness, 'Ōlino Pathways, Wellness and Culinary staff to address needs of participants; respond to feedback and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. Provide support to the Administrative Assistant in the distribution of incoming/outgoing mail and deliveries; coordinate logistics, scheduling of rooms throughout the Center, order office supplies and manage all vendor relations.
- Provide support in maintaining reception area, and other general office areas, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
- Participate as needed in special projects as assigned by the Operations Manager and Operations Director.
- Contributes to the Trust's success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team and organization results.
- Provide transportation for organization related business, such as driving staff, and beneficiaries to assigned destinations.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities for professional development
- As appropriate, serve as a thought leader both internally and externally
- Contribute to the Trust's success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills and collaborating as we strive to attain the Trust's strategic goals
- Evening and weekend hours required as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma
- Two or more years of guest services experience
- Warm personality with strong communication skills
- Proficient knowledge of Mac and Microsoft Office Programs, preferred
- Able to research broad range of topics on the internet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle in-depth special projects
