Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Field Marketing Event Manager to support our expanding presence across North America, with a focus on the United States. Reporting to the global Field Marketing Lead, you will play a critical role in executing field marketing programs and managing events that drive pipeline and support our sales teams. This contract position requires deep expertise in event management combined with field marketing execution capabilities, with a strong understanding of American markets and industries, particularly in the Enterprise space. You'll work closely with regional sales teams and marketing partners to deliver compelling programs that engage enterprise customers and showcase Anthropic's AI solutions across diverse US markets.

  • Execute end-to-end event management for US programs, from planning through on-site coordination and post-event follow-up
  • Support field marketing initiatives including regional campaigns, sales enablement activities, and partner programs
  • Manage multiple concurrent events of varying scales - from executive roundtables and customer workshops to industry conferences and trade shows
  • Coordinate event logistics including venue selection, vendor management, catering, A/V requirements, and attendee registration
  • Support content development and ensure materials align with US enterprise market requirements
  • Partner with sales teams to maximize event ROI through strategic attendee targeting and follow-up
  • Maintain event budgets and provide detailed tracking of expenses and outcomes
  • Create and implement event playbooks to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across the region
  • Manage relationships with local vendors, agencies, and venue partners
  • Track and analyze event metrics, providing insights to optimize future programs
  • Support lead capture and qualification processes at events
  • Ensure all events comply with regional regulations and brand standards

Requirements:
  1. Live in NYC or SF
  2. 8+ years of experience in event marketing and management in B2B settings, with significant experience in North American markets, with a focus on the US
  3. Ivy league education
  4. Demonstrate deep understanding of American markets and industries, particularly in the Enterprise space
  5. Have exceptional project management skills with ability to manage multiple events simultaneously across different regions
  6. Possess proven expertise in executing technical or enterprise-focused events that drive business outcomes
  7. Have strong vendor management and negotiation skills with established relationships in key US markets
  8. Demonstrate experience supporting field marketing programs and understanding of how events integrate into broader marketing strategies
  9. Excel at managing complex logistics while maintaining attention to detail
  10. Can work independently and effectively in a remote environment while coordinating with distributed teams
  11. Have strong budget management capabilities and track record of delivering events within financial parameters
  12. Understand enterprise buying cycles and decision-making processes
  13. Are skilled at stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  14. Have experience with event technology platforms and lead capture tools
  15. Can maintain composure and problem-solve effectively in high-pressure event situations
Strong candidates may also have :
  • Experience with hybrid and virtual event formats
  • Experience marketing AI/ML or complex technical products to enterprise customers
  • Background in supporting enterprise software sales cycles
  • Experience working with ABM (account-based marketing) strategies
