As an Area Sales Director, Analytical Products & Integration, North America you will be leading a Sales Area driving revenue growth, managing strategic customer relationships, and overseeing a team of Sales Managers. You will be measured against set KPI's, including but not limited to OR, GM, SGA, EBIT, sales funnel development, sales activity, sales management processes, sales/commercial excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Leadership & Strategy:
    • Proven track record of defining and executing national sales strategy aligned with global objectives: Forecast and delivering annual sales targets; monitor performance using CRM tool.
    • Analyze market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
  • Team Management:
    • Provide team members with coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to drive success.
    • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture aligned with Valmet's values.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with major O&G, chemical end users, technology licensors, EPC companies and serve as the primary point of contact for frame agreements.
    • Deliver compelling value propositions for the entire portfolio through presentations, proposals, and negotiations.
  • Project & Portfolio Oversight:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a custom engineered environment, envision solutions.
    • Support large-scale project execution, from FEED to handover, including commercial and legal negotiations to close high value deals.
  • Market Development:
    • Identify and pursue business opportunities in emerging markets and applications.
    • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and customer needs.
    • Travel requirement, ~25%, could include international.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or related field (or equivalent experience). MBA is a plus.
  • 8+ years of sales leadership in analytical/automation, petrochemical, or related Process industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving team targets of $100M+ in annual sales.
  • Led large global pursuits internationally ($10M+) with complex sales cycles.
  • Must have authorization to work in the USA
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Process knowledge across oil & gas value chains
    • Financial and technical acumen to oversee large pursuit quotes
    • CAPEX/OPEX cycles and project development
    • Value-based selling and account management
    • Custom manufacturing, engineering, and project execution
    • Legal and commercial aspects of projects terms/frame agreements
Preferred Experience:
  • Process Gas Chromatography or process analyzers, Systems Integration in HPI Industry.
  • Commercial excellence, Costing, Profitability, Cost Center Management.
