Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team. We're looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong manufacturing background to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you'll be crucial in supporting our capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring smooth equipment installations, and keeping our production lines running efficiently through expert troubleshooting and PLC programming.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage CAPEX projects from start to finish, including specifying and ordering necessary materials, coordinating seamless installations, and ensuring projects stay within budget and on schedule.
Diagnose and resolve issues with manufacturing equipment, focusing on PLCs, HMIs, and other control systems (experience with Allen-Bradley is a big plus). Your goal is to minimize downtime and keep operations humming.
Maintain and support critical power distribution equipment and industrial instrumentation/controls, ranging from 12V up to 480V.
Oversee and manage contractors, ensuring all project execution adheres to strict safety and quality standards.
Actively troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on equipment to quickly address and resolve issues.
Champion plant safety policies and procedures in all activities.
Provide additional support for plant management activities as needed, contributing to overall operational success.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls is required.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of leading CAPEX projects and successful equipment installations.
Demonstrated expertise in PLC programming, equipment troubleshooting, and maintaining control systems.
Prior experience managing contractors and overseeing project execution.
Experience with power distribution and industrial instrumentation/controls.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen ability to diagnose complex electrical issues and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
Solid working knowledge of industrial and commercial control systems.
Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and collaborate effectively with various teams.
Practical, hands-on approach to equipment maintenance and installation is essential – this role is less about design and more about execution.
