This is a direct hire opportunity with excellent benefits and relocation assistance available.nJob Description:nnThis position is responsible for hardware and software design for machine and/or control systems, working in conjunction with the Control Specialist to issue, maintain, and update project-related documentation.ÂnResponsibilities include assisting assembly during system build, machine/system check out, field service assistance, and installation as required.nElectrical Machine Design which includes all power, control systems, and electrical diagrams required to meet the customer’s specifications for each project assigned.nDesign control systems from concept to completion.ÂnAssemble complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the Machine/System designnDesign and develop Machine/System Programs.nDesign and develop Machine/System Operator Interface programs.nProvide field service technicians remote support during system service calls, installation, and commissioningnProvide detailed reports defining the issues you have found during troubleshooting specific pieces of equipment.nProvide on-site troubleshooting and startup support as needednProvide solutions for End of Life (EOL) components within internal systems to support customer needs.nDetermine spare parts list.nAssist the Applications Engineering and Product Managers during the scoping phase of a potential projectnOther tasks or duties as assignednnRequired:nnBS Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.  A combination of an AA degree and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience will be considered instead of a bachelor’s degree.n5+ years of Electrical/electrical engineering experience.nAbility to understand and design electrical control schematic ladder diagramsÂnPLC programming skills necessary to make a machine function properly and safelynKnowledge of Allen Bradley PLC and Operator Interface hardware and software (primarily Compact Logix and Panel View Plus series)nAbility to specify, assist with installation, debug and start-up of electrical control and power system equipmentnWorking knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems 600 VAC and less, control systems, Motors, servos, low voltage DC devices and sensorsnUnderstand and have the capability to apply electrical codes and regulations such as NFPA 70, NFPA 79 and UL 508a as well as agency approvals to control systems manufactured on-site.nProven project management skillsnExcellent organizational, oral, and written communication skillsnProven problem-solving skillsnKnowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Dynamics 365nKnowledge of industrial communications (Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, etc.)nOperator interface programming skills necessary to run machine easily and without confusionnAbility to understand how a machine mechanically functions.nAbility to apply electrical components to a control system to make the machine run properlynnSponsorship: NonPay range: $100,000 - $110,000 annual salarynTerm of assignment: Direct HirenLocation of job: Richmond, VAnHours and shift: Monday - Friday (8AM – 5PM; some flexibility for this)nWork from home: possiblenWorking remote: When the person is established there is some flexibility to work from home when needed but do not want to commit to this upfrontnOvertime expected: Possible depending on projectsnWork attire: CasualnDoes the client require a background check/drug test?
