nJob Description:
nUnder light supervision, creates evaluations and designs of basic to moderate complexity civil pipeline/conveyance or process mechanical projects including water and wastewater treatment facilities, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems, lead service line projects, pump stations, remediation sites, etc.
nMay perform water quality analyses or system modeling.
nPerforms calculations, data analysis, reporting for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utility related projects including collection systems, drainage, flood management, outfalls, wetlands, stormwater management, sewer rehabilitation, etc.
nPerforms site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications; updates design requirements as necessary.
nPrepares technical specifications and front-end contract documents for publicly bid design projects.
nReviews draft designs and reports for compliance with federal, state and local regulations and signs off on completed designs.
nContributes to regulatory compliance programs specifically including lead and copper and/or stormwater/MS4 related projects.
nEnsures that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
nManages assessment and design activities in client-facing role, with ability to function as Task Manager.
nMay submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
nProvides technical guidance and training to more junior staff.
nReviews the work of more junior staff and develops them for future growth within the discipline and firm.
nPerforms other duties as required.

nMinimum Qualifications:
nBachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
n3 years of related experience.

nEquivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

nSkills and Abilities:
nKnowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
