We’re Hiring: Manufacturing Engineer – CNC

Location: Irvine, North Ayrshire

Elevation Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a market-leading metal processing company based in Irvine, North Ayrshire , to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer – CNC .

nn

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the CNC production process, drive improvements, and lead a skilled team in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

n
    n
  • Lead and manage the CNC programming department , ensuring schedule adherence across all CNC operations.
    • n
  • Create and maintain effective CADCAM programs, tooling, fixtures, and methods to support manufacturing.
    • n
  • Monitor output to ensure quality standards and production readiness are met.
    • n
  • Coordinate resources to ensure all work centres are adequately manned.
    • n
  • Attend and contribute to quality meetings , NCR activities, and root cause corrective action (RCCA) processes.
    • n
  • Represent Engineering at pre-production meetings (PPMs) and highlight concerns early.
    • n
  • Actively participate in daily production meetings and weekly toolbox talks on the shop floor.
    • n
  • Support bid activities by providing accurate manufacturing times and methods.
    • n
  • Champion a culture of 5S, health & safety, and continuous quality improvement .
    • n

✅ What We're Looking For:

n
    n
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with CADCAM software for CNC machines.
    • n
  • Ideally experienced in the oil and gas sector ( but not essential).
    • n
  • Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or similar .
    • n
  • Fanuc and/or Mazatrol control system experience is a plus.
    • n
  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control .
    • n
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
    • n
  • Proven leadership and team development abilities.
    • n
n
