As a Mechanic, you will:
- Perform routine and advanced inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including light- and heavy-duty units, hybrid/electric vehicles, and public safety apparatus.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using diagnostic tools and repair manuals, complete corresponding repairs.
- Perform specialized work on heavy equipment such as backhoes, skid steers, graders, aerial lifts, boom lifts, sanitation trucks, and fire apparatus
- Service, recharge, and maintain vehicle air conditioning.
- Inspect, repair, patch, balance, and mount tires as needed.
- Conduct welding and fabrication for equipment repairs and modifications
- Perform research and troubleshooting to support effective repairs and maintenance.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment in the performance of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Load and unload equipment and supplies; lift and move heavy objects in accordance with safety procedures.
- Handle, apply, and dispose of hazardous material in accordance with regulations.
- Advise supervisor of required parts, equipment, and supplies.

- Handle, apply, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members, lead mechanic, and supervisor to coordinate repairs and service activities.

- A valid Arizona driver's license at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Residency within 25 miles of San Luis and within the US.
- Bilingual in Spanish.
