Description
The HR Coordinator provides vital support to the Human Resources department and plant operations by facilitating HR processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting a safe, productive, and respectful workplace. This role plays a key part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and maintaining employee records for Carlton Farms.
Requirements

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment for plant positions including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Support new hire orientation and ensure proper documentation, including I-9.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, timekeeping, attendance policies, and general HR inquiries.
  • Coordinate safety training and compliance in collaboration with Safety and Operations teams.
  • Oversee all Workers Comp Claims and EAP
  • Track and administer corrective actions and performance documentation.
  • Serve as back-up receptionist. Answer phones and great guests.
  • Support HR initiatives focused on employee retention, engagement, and communication.
  • Assist with investigations related to employee complaints, harassment, or violations of company policy.
  • Prepare reports related to HR metrics, compliance audits, and headcount tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Provide support for special projects, events, and other HR functions as needed.
  • Translate at safety meetings, employee lunches, meetings etc. as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems a plus.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment and wearing required PPE when needed.
Working Conditions:
  • Office-based with frequent interaction on the plant floor.
  • Exposure to refrigerated environments, loud noises, and production equipment
