Motion Recruitment
Our client is a leader in precision automachinery manufacturing, driving innovation across industries from advanced materials handling to next-generation automation systems. They are expanding their team and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about designing robust, high-performance mechanical systems for cutting-edge industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and validation of complex mechanical components and systems for industrial machinery, including high-speed actuators, precision motion assemblies, and thermal management systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams-including electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers-to define product requirements and ensure seamless integration of mechanical subsystems.
- Perform detailed mechanical analysis (thermal, structural, and dynamic) using tools such as ANSYS or SolidWorks Simulation to optimize designs for reliability and manufacturability.
- Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and tolerance stack-ups to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet performance targets and regulatory standards.
- Support prototype development, testing, and root cause analysis for product improvements and failure resolution.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing design efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and product lifecycle performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in industrial equipment or precision machinery manufacturing.
- Expertise in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred), GD&T, and DFM/DFA principles.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining practices, and working closely with fabrication shops or contract manufacturers.
- Proven track record of delivering complex mechanical systems from concept to production.
