TMB, Inc is seeking candidates for a Sr. Structural Engineer to support NAVSEA Acquisition Program Office Engineering Support Services requirements. This position is contingent upon the award of the PMS 406 contract.
nResponsibilitiesn
- n
- Perform engineering analyses of customer mission and performance requirements to define UxV attributes in engineering terms. n
- Perform engineering studies leading to the allocation of UxV attributes to UxV systems in terms of design direction, performance, configuration, space and weight, and arrangement. n
- Perform design and engineering studies to identify the degree of UxV systems integration required to meet the mission requirements. n
- Provide Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) of designs in the form of technical products such as drawings, conceptual and product engineering designs, calculations, schematics, reports, etc. n
- Ensure structures can withstand the stresses and pressures imposed by use and the environment. n
- Calculate stability, strength and rigidity and make sure the right materials are used for shipbuilding programs. n
Qualificationsn
- n
- At least 10 years of professional experience. n
- Engineering experience related R&D, T&E, and systems acquisition programs. Preferably for Navy shipbuilding and defense systems. n
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. n
- Professional Engineer License is a plus. n
- Must be a United States . n
- Must possess an active DOD Top Secret security clearance. n
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. n
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills. n
- Ability to perform frequent internal and external customer interface including regularly scheduled and ad hoc meetings. n
- Ability to travel reasonable distances (up to ½ mile one way) to meet with customers or other company personnel in the execution of job functions. n
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds in order to carry a laptop, notebooks, papers, binders and other tools and equipment required in the execution of job functions. n
