Job Description
The EHS Manager, Industrial Manufacturing, will:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations across facilities
- Lead and promote a safety-focused culture in partnership with plant leadership and site teams
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures across multiple sites
- Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
- Oversee hazardous waste, wastewater treatment, and other environmental programs
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation
- Deliver and support safety training, including new hire orientation and ongoing education
- Lead EHS-related meetings such as safety committees and all-hands updates
- Maintain EHS documentation, reports, and regulatory logs
- Support emergency preparedness and response, including oversight of Emergency Response Team
- Maintain proactive relationships with employees, leadership, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and promote safety awareness
The Successful Applicant
Our ideal EHS Manager, Industrial Manufacturing, will have the following experience:
- Experience managing or supporting EHS programs in a manufacturing environment
- Background in chemical handling, hazardous materials, or plating processes preferred
- Strong understanding of environmental and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to EHS initiatives across multiple sites
- Comfortable collaborating within a multi-site EHS team structure
- Interest or experience in becoming a subject matter expert in a specific EHS area
- Willingness to travel occasionally to support other facilities
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Ability to work independently while aligning with broader site and corporate goals
- Commitment to continued professional development (certifications, training, etc.)
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) required
- Experience with ISO-certified environments a plus (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
