Job Description
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards.
- Lead incident investigations and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Facilitate safety training and awareness programs for employees.
- Manage reporting and documentation related to EHS activities and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety practices into daily operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental performance.
- Oversee emergency preparedness and response planning.
- Monitor and analyze EHS metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience managing EHS programs within aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT) and industry-specific compliance standards.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, lead incident investigations, and manage corrective actions.
- Experience developing and delivering comprehensive safety training and awareness programs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels and foster a safety culture.
- Relevant certifications such as CSP, CIH, or NEBOSH preferred.
- Proficiency with EHS management systems, audit protocols, and data reporting tools.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement and safety performance initiatives.
