Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Coordinator who will be responsible for conducting in-bound and out-bound calls for medication adherence, prescription refills, and provider follow-ups in a call center environment. The role requires ensuring productivity standards are met, providing clerical support, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts in-bound and out-bound calls for various program requirements.
  • Ensures completion of calls/assignments and meets productivity standards.
  • Handles escalated inquiries from all communication venues.
  • Maintains confidentiality in handling prescription claims documentation.
  • Provides support to internal staff and providers on Medicare drug-related issues.
  • Provides clerical and administrative support for special projects and reports.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Participates in pharmacy quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • Experience in a pharmacy, medical, and/or healthcare setting
  • Call center experience
  • Proficiency with medical terminology
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified and/or Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • 2+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • Certified Medical Assistant (training or certification)
  • 2+ years of experience in a physician's clinic or hospital
  • Bilingual language proficiency (English/Spanish)

  • Ability to handle and diffuse escalated issues professionally

  • Professionalism in personal conduct and appearance
  • Ability to work independently with some supervision
