nA line cook position at Mayahuel is more than a role—it's an opportunity to excel in a thriving culinary environment. This position involves plating dishes and completing a range of food preparation tasks from basic to advanced. Main duties include preparing and cooking food at specific stations, maintaining cleanliness in prep areas, and ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked. You'll not only master modern Mexican culinary recipes and techniques but also engage directly with our guests, enhancing their dining experience with your knowledge and enthusiasm about our menu. This role involves plating dishes, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
nResponsibilities
nSet up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
nPrepare food for service, such as chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces.
nCook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
nAnswer, report, and follow instructions from the chef or sous chef.
nClean up station and manage leftover food.
nPrepare a family meal once a week with team members.
nStock inventory appropriately and maintain records for own station.
nEnsure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
nComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
nUphold a comprehensive approach to guest care, demonstrating a proactive attitude in ensuring guest satisfaction across all interactions.
nQualifications
nCapable of handling fine dining shifts efficiently and effectively.
nExcellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
nExperienced and diverse palate.
nAccuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
nFamiliarity with industry’s best practices.
nCertified in Food Safety.
nStrong multi-tasking ability.
