Clayton Services is searching for a Quality Control Engineer to join a thriving company in Hempstead, Texas. The Quality Control Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company's products and services meet high-quality standards.
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $30.00-$48.00/hour

Quality Control Engineer Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain operating procedures and documentation to support quality assurance and control efforts.
- Monitor compliance with internal protocols and external regulations, including ISO and other applicable industry standards.
- Review production outputs to identify issues and recommend corrective measures to improve product quality.
- Lead and coordinate internal quality audits; track deficiencies and manage follow-up actions.
- Evaluate and refine inspection and testing procedures; support root cause analysis and preventive actions when quality issues arise.
- Manage the non-conformance reporting (Client) process, including investigation, tracking, and resolution.
- Provide hands-on inspection of components and assemblies throughout various stages of fabrication.
- Continuously assess and improve quality control systems and protocols in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Solid communication and reporting skills-both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Experience working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where attention to detail is critical.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment with a focus on quality.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Deep understanding of quality frameworks and standards such as ISO 9001.
- Experience creating and implementing process documentation and quality management systems.
