nAmerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a skilled Trailer Technician in Sacramento CA! The Trailer Technician will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Class 7-8 trailers and will operate vehicles and test all working parts in various functions to ensure proper operation. Required experience includes semi—trailer repairs.
nnCompensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday!
nMonday through Friday - 6:00 am to 2:30 pm $28.00 Hour - $32.00 Hour DOE

What the Trailer Technician role looks like:
n- n
- Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer n
- Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required n
- Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles n
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance n
- Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicle n
- Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures n
- Perform other duties as required n
What our ideal candidate looks like:
n- n
- Must have at least 2 years' experience performing vehicle and trailer maintenance. n
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly n
- Must be able to enter and exit the driver's compartment of the truck and/or behind cab using normally available footholds and handholds n
- Must provide own hand tools n
- Perform DOT inspections n
- Basic computer skills n
- Basic written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.) n
Working Conditions:

- Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. n
- Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. n
- Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants n
- Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance n
- Ability to move and position heavy objects n
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles n
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions. n
