About the Role: Homemaker Cook

n

As a Homemaker Cook, you'll play a key role in supporting the health, happiness, and daily experience of the residents at Edgewater in West Des Moines.

n

As a Homemaker Cook, you will:

n

• n

  Create a warm, "home-like" dining experience by preparing and serving delicious, visually appealing meals tailored to residents' preferences and dietary needs.

  n

• n

  Engage with residents to honor their food choices and provide personalized service, including accommodating special requests and substitutions.

  n
n
• n

  Maintain spotless, organized food storage and dining areas while following strict sanitation and safety procedures.

  n
n
• n

  Manage inventory, ensure meal supplies are ready, and minimize waste through careful handling and efficient kitchen practices.

  n
n
• n

  Foster community by dining with residents and offering assistance to those needing help with eating in a caring, supportive environment.

  Weekdays: 6:00am-2:00pm & 4:00pm-7:00pm

  Weekends: 4:00pm-7:00pm

Qualifications:

• n

  Experience in food preparation and safe food handling

  n

• n

  Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures

  n
n
• n

  Skilled in customizing meals while respecting nutritional guidelines and personal choice.

• n

  Capable of prepping for upcoming meals, managing food stock, and minimizing waste.
