JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Aide plays a key role in supporting the Cook in meal preparation and service. This position involves using protective gear in all relevant tasks. The Aide is responsible for placing prepared food onto plates or trays following tray tickets and adhering to established policies and procedures, ensuring high-quality food service at all times. Responsibilities also include preparing and delivering food and trays, washing dishes, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment in accordance with health standards.

- Accurately read and apply food tray card requirements
- Complete reports and maintain records as required
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with food safety and sanitation requirements
- Interact positively with residents, clients, and other personnel
- Capable of working around food and cleaning products
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Must complete an approved sanitation and safety course within 60 days
- Preferred: Specialized training in food service is desirable
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, or walk for extended periods.
WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical.
