Process Engineer - Polyurethane Manufacturing | $60K-$80K
Location: Triad Area, NC (On-site)
Industry: Advanced Manufacturing / Chemical Engineering
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 base + bonus potential
Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for process optimization and technical problem-solving? We're hiring a Process Engineer for a leading manufacturer in the polyurethane industry. This is a high-impact role supporting daily operations, continuous improvement, and new product launches in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Do
  • Develop and optimize formulations and pour patterns to meet production specs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process and equipment issues in real time
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve reliability and throughput
  • Lead process improvement experiments and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Support new product launches and plant startup activities
  • Write and update SOPs, SOTs, and technical documentation
  • Participate in safety and quality audits
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
  • 1-2 years of experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with SPC, metering systems, sensors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen is a plus
  • Willingness to work various shifts as needed
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
