Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently
- Utilize strong problem-solving and programming skills, especially with Allen-Bradley equipment
- Ensure the reliability of manufacturing processes and compliance with industry standards
- Conduct preventative and routine maintenance on equipment
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing devices
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics with ease
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Identify, plan, and execute necessary maintenance work
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Respond to unplanned maintenance needs as required
- Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records
- Communicate maintenance updates effectively
- Maintain and troubleshoot electronic controls and instrumentation
- Utilize diagnostic tools to test and repair systems
Required Qualifications:
- Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan
- Minimum of 3 years manufacturing maintenance experience
- Basic programming and advanced troubleshooting skills, particularly in Allen-Bradley systems
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs and Ladder logic
- Willingness to join the Hazmat team
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to understand detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics
- Readiness to work weekends and off-shift hours as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE systems
- Experience with Allen-Bradley programming and troubleshooting
- Maintenance experience in food processing environments
- Proficient with testing and calibration tools (e.g., RTD calibrators, multimeters)
- Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase, 120 VAC, and 24VDC circuits
