Job Title: Senior Project Engineer – Commercial Construction

nnPosition Overview:
nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the successful execution of large-scale commercial construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring technical coordination, quality assurance, budget tracking, and schedule management from preconstruction through project closeout.
nnKey Responsibilities:

- Project Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in overseeing all aspects of project execution, including subcontractor coordination, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and document control. n
- Technical Support: Provide engineering and constructability expertise, ensuring all work complies with plans, specifications, codes, and safety regulations. n
- Schedule & Budget Tracking: Monitor project progress and assist in updating project schedules. Track material procurement, lead times, and cost impacts. n
- Quality Control: Implement and monitor QA/QC processes to ensure construction meets required standards and client expectations. n
- Problem Solving: Identify potential issues proactively and work with the team to develop practical solutions to maintain schedule and quality. n
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between field operations, design professionals, and project stakeholders to maintain open lines of communication. n
- Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate project documentation, logs, and reports using project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam). n
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to Project Engineers and interns, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing. n
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field. n
- 2–5+ years of experience in commercial construction with increasing responsibility. n
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and contract documents. n
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam). n
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. n
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. n
- OSHA certification but not required. n
