TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
nThe responsibilities and duties of the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to, the following:
nnDocument Control & Coordination:
n- n
- Maintain and update contract document logs, ensuring accurate posting and distribution of documents. n
- Track and manage RFIs, bulletins, ASIs, and sketch logs to ensure timely responses and resolution. n
- Maintain accurate contract drawings and specification revisions to reflect current project conditions. n
- Assist in issuing bid documents and drafting comprehensive scopes of work for bid packages and scope reviews. n
Project Reporting & Communication:

- Assist in preparing monthly reports detailing project progress, financials, and upcoming milestones. n
- Prepare and present status reports for submittals, RFIs, bulletins, and RFQs to ensure clear communication among stakeholders. n
- Maintain and track submittal logs, supporting the processing of submittals, including product data and sample reviews. n
- Record and distribute meeting minutes and action items to ensure alignment across project teams. n
Project Financials:

- Assist with the preparation and review of monthly pay applications and tracking project financials to ensure budget adherence. n
- Support the management of change orders and ensure timely documentation of changes affecting project costs. n
Quality Assurance & Field Support:
n- n
- Assist with project closeout procedures, including documentation, final inspections, and punch list management. n
- Participate in rolling completion list inspections using BIM 360 Field or Procore, ensuring quality control and compliance with project specifications. n
- Support site personnel with technical information and document coordination to ensure smooth workflow. n
Technology Utilization:

- Utilize construction management software such as Procore and Bluebeam to track and manage project documentation and collaboration. n
- Leverage technology to improve workflow efficiency and support digital project management efforts. n
Requirements:n
REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
nnMinimum Education Requirements:
nBachelor’s Degree (Required): Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Related fields in construction or engineering disciplines.
nnEducation:
nMaster’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on project management (a plus but not required).
nnAdditional Educational Considerations:
n- n
- Candidates with a related associate degree and significant field experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, depending on the company’s requirements. n
- Relevant coursework in: Construction materials and methods, Project management principles, Construction estimating and scheduling, Building codes and safety regulations, Structural analysis and design, Sustainable building practices (LEED certification knowledge is a plus) n
Certifications ( but Not Required):

- OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification n
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (for engineering graduates) n
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) n
- LEED Green Associate or AP certification (for sustainability-focused projects) n
- Project Management Professional (PMP) n
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
n- n
- 1-3 years of experience in construction project coordination or engineering. n
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, contracts, and processes. n
- Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, or equivalent). n
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. n
- Ability to work collaboratively with project stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. n
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and construction site protocols. n
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. n
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- Combination of office and field environments with occasional visits to job sites. n
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather. n
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and navigate construction sites safely. n
