Position Outline
Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of I&E Engineer based in our Prairieville, Louisiana office.
The E&I Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Houston TX.

Position Outline

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Provide electrical engineering for capital and expense projects including scope definition, cost estimates, design, specification and ordering of equipment, documentation (drawings, equipment files, etc.), implementation, and startup.
- Design and implement projects that are engineered for safety, operability, and reliability.
- Develop and submit capital and expense budgets.
- Manage capital and expense projects to meet scope, schedule, and cost requirements per the customer.
- Lead electrical reliability and plant performance improvements and support maintenance efforts.
- Interact with production and maintenance personnel to solve production or design issues.
- Drive improvements in maintenance work processes, procedures, performance, and cost.
- Develop Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance Plans to improve plant reliability.
- Provide electrical engineering technical support and troubleshooting for plant operating and maintenance departments.
- Maintain expertise in assigned functional areas, for example, instrumentation, analyzers, power distribution, motors, etc.
- Support development of Obsolescence and Long-Range Plans, which includes identification of equipment and development of mitigation plans (Emerson Delta V and Rockwell PLC hardware platforms, etc.)
- Assure compliance with environmental, health and safety (EHS), PSM, local, state, federal, and corporate standards.
- BS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or BS in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET).
- PE, PMP or similar engineering/project management certification in related engineering field desired.
- 4-6 years' experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering & maintenance crafts.
- Experience with hardware/system design, including process instrumentation, control valves, motors, VFD's, pumps, and data displays.
- Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution (13.8 KV, 2400V, 480V), with a heavy industrial setting.
- Experience with control systems (i.e. Emerson Delta V, Rockwell Automation Control Logix platforms, etc.)
- Experience working with vendors, engineers, production personnel and maintenance personnel.
- Project management, design and specifications to support procurement and construction activities for projects.
- Strong communication, business, technical, planning and people skills.
- Personal computer skills - Office 365 suite required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry codes and standards (i.e. IEEE, ISA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA).
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment (motors, VFD's, circuit breakers, PLC's, etc.).
- Predictive and Preventive Maintenance concepts.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Must have experience with Pole line engineering and testing calculations
