BRAND COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
POSITION FOCUS:
The Brand Communications Specialist is responsible for writing copy that enhances brand visibility, consistency, and engagement across all channels. This role focuses on crafting compelling narratives, managing brand messaging, and ensuring alignment with the Association's voice and values.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop clear, brand-aligned, engaging copy that addresses both business goals and consumer needs for a variety of channels, including, but not limited to, print and online advertisements, websites, emails, newsletters, social content, video scripts, press releases, and speeches.
• Create and transform conceptual ideas into words for sales and marketing content, including emails, advertising materials, newsletters, brochures/catalogs, website content, video scripts, social media, and all other projects as needed.
• Support the communications needs of internal Association clients by providing strategic messaging, content development, and creative support tailored to departmental/project goals.
• Collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and subject matter experts to develop creative content that supports business objectives and ensures cohesive brand messaging.
• Interpret creative briefs and translate marketing goals into persuasive messaging strategies.
• Develop and maintain a branded corporate style, tone, and voice guide.
• Monitor and research current trends on copy and content strategies and implementation, competitive messaging and best practices.
• Contribute to brainstorming and creative concept development.
• Assist the PR and Communications Team with follow-up and materials gathering as needed.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field.
• 2-5 years of professional writing, editing and proofreading experience, preferably in a marketing, advertising, public relations or content-focused role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative and innovative thinking-able to quickly distill complex concepts into simple, thoughtful copy.
• Strong storytelling ability with a focus on audience engagement and brand alignment.• Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
• Experience with digital content, social media, online advertising, and email campaigns.
• High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Experience with Monday.com or similar marketing project workflow tool.
• Process-oriented, self-starter mindset with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
