If so, Selectek an exciting opportunity for you!nWe have a 6-month, contract-to-hire opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with a government agency in Atlanta, GA responsible ensuring the electrical safety and functionality of our higher education construction and renovation projects.nIn this role, you will be responsible for:nnReviewing and evaluating electrical design drawings and specifications for new buildings and renovations, primarily focusing on higher education facilities.nEnsuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards, including NEC, power, lighting, fire alarm systems, audio/visual systems, and IT systems.nIdentifying and troubleshooting errors, omissions, inconsistencies, and conflicts within the design documents.nVerifying that all drawings meet safety and constructability codes, as well as campus and local agency standards.nCommunicating updates and clarifications to construction teams during occasional site visits.nnTo be successful, you will need:nnBachelor of Science in Electrical EngineeringnA minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, construction document preparation, and review for commercial or educational facilities.nDeep understanding and strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal.nnWe highly prefer candidates with:nnProfessional Engineer (PE) licensurenRegistered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certificationnExperience in plan review for a local municipality or state government.nExperience as a commissioning agent or authority.nBackground in facility management or working with facility managers during design, construction, and project turnover.nnThis is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and code-compliant electrical engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment.
