nWe are seeking a Systems Engineer I to analyze functional business requirements, design specifications, and system architectures to support DoD operations and IT modernization . This role involves assessing existing systems, implementing new solutions, and collaborating with engineering teams to develop next-generation IT systems for military applications.
nKey Responsibilities:

- Analyze functional business requirements and design specifications for DoD IT and engineering systems . n
- Identify and resolve problems in existing system designs while leading new system implementations. n
- Enhance existing IT systems and participate in the analysis, design, and deployment of next-generation IT solutions . n
- Evaluate commercially available IT products (COTS) and integrate them into mission-critical applications. n
- Develop system requirements to ensure proper implementation by architecture and engineering teams . n
- Collaborate closely with programmers, system administrators, and cybersecurity experts. n
- Maintain expertise in telecommunications concepts, computer languages, operating systems, databases/DBMS, and middleware . n
- Support system integration, software testing, and security evaluations to meet DoD compliance standards. n

- Bachelor's Degree or higher OR n
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate with 1 year of relevant experience. n

Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, IT architecture, and defense system integration .

Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity policies, risk management frameworks (RMF), and IT governance .

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with classified military systems and secure networks . n
- Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) . n
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD security integration . n
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or DoD-approved systems engineering credentials . n
