nBecome an expert in spring manufacturing to evaluate and resolve both short- and long-term issues
nContinuous Improvement and Optimization
no Review key metrics and determine ways to improve
no Design and conduct analysis of issues, leading problem-solving efforts
no Improve manufacturing productivity and facility capacity by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
nSupport New Products and Processes
no Analyze capital expenditures and project designs to help find ways to reduce costs
no Responsible for manufacturing-related responsibilities for new product launches; working with Product and Advanced Engineering to ensure new designs and processes are feasible.
no Optimization of plant and cell layout for all new products and processes
nOther projects as assigned

nSkills and Requirements
nBachelors Degree in Engineering
nDemonstrated hands-on experience with core manufacturing processes
nDemonstrated implementation of Lean Manufacturing (5S, TPM, Workflow and Standardization)
nDemonstrated formal problem solving (8D, Six Sigma)
nDemonstrated application of APQP process
nExperience with CAD Stamping/metal fabrication, PLC, spring manufacturing, automation, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical schematics
nSolidWorks preferred null
