Job Description
Job Title: Post Closing Specialist
Department: Credit
Reports To: Post Closing Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS : The Post Closing Specialist reviews closed loan files to determine if the loan meets company and investor guidelines prior to shipping the file to an investor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Works with various parties (internal and external) to obtain needed documentation to cure/resolve all items that affect the insurability/salability of the loan in a timely manner
• Shipping and delivery of loans to investors including third parties, FNMA, FHLMC
• Insuring of FHA, VA and PMI loan products
• Responsible for making sure file are in purchasable condition and shipped prior to the lock expiration date
• Create and maintain a pipeline report to ensure all loans shipped are either condition or purchased in a timely manner
• Monitor daily condition reports from the investor for updates on suspended loans or new conditions as received
• Meet monthly purchased loan goals as determined by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong analytical and Critical Thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced and dynamic environment handling multiple competing tasks simultaneously to closure.
• Effective communicative skills - both written and oral
• Effective time-management skills
• Effective management skills
• Basic understanding of SQL database
• Strong Knowledge in working with all Microsoft Office tools
• Working knowledge of Non-QM, Government, and Agency Guidelines

EDUCATION :

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field is a plus

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of experience with recent post close experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position is in an office setting with computer and general office equipment. The position requires the ability to move freely around within the department and other department locations
