Madden Industrial Craftsmen is hiring a Project Manager with a focus on mechanical design for a long-established client in North Portland. This company is a recognized leader in the design and manufacturing of driveshafts for a wide range of industries and applications such as the marine, agricultural, automotive industries, and more. The ideal candidate will contribute to engineering solutions for complex systems and help foster long-term customer partnerships.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (in-person position)

Starting Salary:

n
$90k-100k/yr, negotiable DOE
n

Key Responsibilities

n
Analyze application data supplied by customers to design engineered driveshaft solutions that meet performance, duty cycle, and dimensional requirements
n

Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and approval drawings for customers using industry-standard design software.
n
n
Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal departments to manage orders and ensure timely delivery.
n
n
Develop accurate pricing worksheets based on design specifications, material requirements, and production costs to support quoting efforts.
n
n
Collaborate with the Shop Foreman to schedule production, storage, and delivery of driveline components.
n
n
Continuous improvement in design workflow, documentation, and scheduling.
n
n
Maintain professional relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
n

Qualifications

n
3?5 years of experience with AutoCAD or comparable CAD software ().
n
n
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
n
n
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience ().
n
n
Experience with Inventor 2022 or similar 3D design software ().
n
n
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
n
n
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
n
n
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team-oriented mindset.
n
